History and philosophy

Oman Luxury was established in 2012 from a shared vision between three founders — Muatasim Al Hinai, Muadh Al Sinawi and Ahmed Al Esry — with the aim of capturing the identity of the Sultanate of Oman in olfactory form: the ancient trade routes of incense and spice, the landscapes spanning desert and mountain, the architecture and contemporary Arab culture. The project was consolidated in October 2020 with a renewed visual identity and a sharper articulation of modern Omani luxury.

At the heart of the production philosophy is a dual commitment: adherence to IFRA standards for raw materials and ISO and GMP protocols for production, alongside a dedication to local ingredients and homegrown creative talent. The maison received two international awards at the Fragrance Foundation Arabia in 2017.

The style

Oman Luxury's compositions orbit the oriental, floral and woody fragrance families, with a recurring use of frankincense, oud, rose, amber and leather — materials deeply rooted in Omani aromatic tradition — reinterpreted through collaborations with European and international noses. The catalogue is organised across several lines, all in eau de parfum concentration.

  • The Main Collection brings together the maison's signature titles, ranging from delicate floral openings to deeper oriental accords.
  • The Private Collection offers more intimate and complex interpretations, aimed at dedicated niche fragrance enthusiasts.
  • The Limited Edition line explores accords off the beaten track, with seasonal or thematic compositions.
  • Collaborations with noses including Marie Salamagne, Philippe Paparella-Paris, Pierre Negrin, Dominique Ropion and Maurice Roucel bring stylistic variety within a coherent creative vision.

The most celebrated fragrances

The catalogue spans over twenty creations. Among the most internationally recognised titles:

  • Belfiore — A floral eau de parfum by Marie Salamagne, inspired by the mountain village of Wakan; apricot and carrot on the opening, osmanthus and gardenia at the heart, with beeswax, suede and oakmoss on the dry-down.
  • Paramour — A unisex eau de parfum by Philippe Paparella-Paris (2020); red fruits and saffron on the opening, a heart of rose and jasmine, rounding off with leather, amber and patchouli.
  • Serenity — An eau de parfum by Pierre Negrin (2020); an accord of rose, saffron and oud over a base of leather, olibanum and musk — a richly present oriental.
  • Wanderlust — A unisex eau de parfum with a citrus opening of bergamot, lemon and blackcurrant, warmed by spices and anchored by a woody-resinous base.
  • Zafar — An eau de parfum built on a layered accord inspired by the Omani souks; frankincense, spices and oud unfold in a complex, long-lasting progression.
