Anomalia: Artistic Perfumes Beyond Convention
Anomalia Paris is an artistic perfume house founded in Paris in 2022 by Elena Spirina, born between Paris and the French Riviera. With a gender-free vision and a philosophy it calls «Luxe de la Liberté», the house produces eaux de parfum and extraits crafted entirely in France in collaboration with leading perfumers, conceived to be worn alone or layered as a personal olfactory language.

History and philosophy
Anomalia Paris was born in 2022 from the vision of Elena Spirina, an entrepreneur with a background spanning cinema, fashion, and marketing. It was during the 2020 lockdown that Spirina began formulating fragrances for home candles; the experience led her to enrol at the Grasse Institute of Perfumery, where she honed her technical foundations before launching the house. The project took shape between Paris and the Côte d'Azur, with all production carried out in France.
The brand's philosophy revolves around the idea of «deviation as a choice»: the name itself — Anomalia — signals a refusal of rigid categories and a celebration of the unexpected. The fragrances are conceived as «versatile essences», designed to evolve with one's mood and to be combined freely, giving rise to personal olfactory signatures in constant transformation.
The style
Anomalia Paris works with a roster of experienced independent perfumers with strong international credentials — among them Bertrand Duchaufour, Sidonie Lancesseur, Christian Carbonnel, Ane Ayo, and Nicolas Bonneville — each given considerable creative freedom. The result is a body of work that favours unexpected accords: sharp leathers, dry woodies, florals with mineral or balsamic roots, and a persistent tension between lightness and depth. The primary concentration is eau de parfum in a 70 ml format; more recently the house has introduced extrait de parfum for selected titles.
- Gender-borderless fragrances in eau de parfum and extrait de parfum, designed for layering.
- Collaborations with perfumers from houses such as Robertet, with formulas featuring a high proportion of natural ingredients.
- Flacons produced by historic French glassmakers, reflecting a commitment to artisanal craftsmanship.
- A complementary home fragrance line comprising diffusers and scented candles.
- A narrative connection to the world of extreme sport, in particular the Dakar Rally, which inspires several titles.
The best-known products
The collection numbers around fifteen references, with regular releases from 2022 to the present. Among the titles that have drawn the greatest attention from the fragrance community:
- Abed — Eau de Parfum 2022, signed by Ane Ayo. A tropical floral built on tiaré, tuberose, and sambac jasmine over a balsamic base of vanilla and myrrh; one of the house's earliest fragrances, prized for its ability to meld seamlessly with the skin.
- Narcotic Bohemic — Eau de Parfum 2022. Among the debut titles, it sits within the oriental family and has received high ratings across the leading industry platforms.
- Sahara 4800 — Eau de Parfum 2024, signed by Sidonie Lancesseur. Dry leather and sand at the heart, an effervescent opening of champagne and pink pepper, and a base of patchouli and ink; directly inspired by the Dakar Rally, of which the house is a sponsor.
- Umbra Oud — Eau de Parfum 2025. The house's first foray into oud: Laotian oud, white leather, and amber at the heart, with an opening of rose and elemi and a base of incense and vetiver.
- Karmacoma — Extrait de Parfum 2026, again by Sidonie Lancesseur. Bourbon vanilla and leather given a modern treatment, with saffron and powdery notes; the composition is ninety per cent natural ingredients.
