History and philosophy

The name Masca Parfums is an acronym built from the opening syllables of the founder's name, Massimo Scalella. Born in Naples, Scalella entered the world of perfumery in 1985 as a commercial consultant for Fendi, before co-founding the Italian company Mansfield, a business managing several industry brands. Masca Parfums was established in 2024 as an independent venture, making its official debut at the ESXENCE 2025 trade fair in Milan.

The brand's vision places the relationship between fragrance and the individual's intimate world at its heart: each scent is conceived as an instrument of personal narrative, capable of evoking memories and emotions through olfactory exploration. The entire collection is offered in a single concentration — eau de parfum — in 100 ml flacons.

The style

Masca Parfums fragrances are born from collaboration with internationally trained noses — among them Luca Maffei, Sébastien Cresp, Paolo Cerizza and Lorenzo Berti — and move between floral families, aromatic fougères and woody orientals. The house's recurring stylistic signature favours bipolar structures, with fresh and lively openings that give way to warm, enveloping bases, frequently built on woods, musks and resins.
