Maison Micallef: Luxury Artistic Perfumes from Grasse

An artistic perfumery maison founded in Grasse in 1996 by Martine Micallef and Geoffrey Nejman, M. Micallef is defined by its «Art et Parfum» concept: every flacon is hand-decorated with crystals and enamels, transforming each fragrance into a collectible object in its own right.

History and philosophy

Parfums M. Micallef was born in Grasse in 1996 from the meeting of two complementary visions: that of Martine Micallef, an artist and designer who grew up in Saint-Paul-de-Vence surrounded by painting and sculpture, and that of Geoffrey Nejman, an entrepreneur with a background in international finance. Together they created an independent family maison that places olfactory creation and visual art on equal footing, conceiving the flacon not as a vessel but as a work of art in its own right.

The founding concept — «Art et Parfum» — is brought to life in the workshops of Grasse, where every bottle is hand-decorated with crystals, enamels, and precious metals. The maison remains family-run and, as it gradually passes to the next generation, retains the same creative independence it has always had, now distributing its creations in over 75 countries.

The style

M. Micallef fragrances draw on the raw materials of the Grasse region whilst looking attentively towards Oriental and Middle Eastern influences: the maison was among the first in Europe to bring oud into its olfactory vocabulary, pairing it with local flowers, elaborate vanillas, and spices. The fragrances are developed in collaboration with a core group of composers — including Jean-Claude Astier — and range across powdery, floral, woody, and gourmand families, available as eau de parfum and in higher-concentration Nectar formats.

  • Classic feminine and masculine collection, featuring Jewel-line flacons decorated with crystals and metal caps.
  • Nectar line: high-concentration perfumed extracts in jewel-silhouette flacons, crafted for those seeking intense, long-lasting projection.
  • Oriental and oud creations, among the earliest European interpretations of the ingredient, built on warm, resinous accords.
  • Unisex and contemporary offerings exploring aromatic, aquatic, and gourmand families.
